no
Witnesses
2 witnesses (18+)

To obtain a marriage license in Kentucky, applicants must present a government-issued photo identification and provide a Social Security number. There is no state residency requirement. Kentucky permits marriage at age 18 without additional approval. Individuals aged 17 may marry with both parental consent and approval from the district court. Marriage is not permitted for anyone under 17. A blood test is not required as part of the licensing process.

Two witnesses who are at least 18 years old must be present when the marriage license is executed. Kentucky does not impose a statewide blood test requirement. License fees are set by individual counties and typically range from approximately $35 to $50. Couples should contact their county clerk's office to confirm the exact fee, eligibility rules, and any additional requirements that may apply in their jurisdiction, as well as to verify current regulations on the state's official statutes and resources.
