Oklahoma Marriage License Requirements

Minimum age
18 without consent
Blood test
no
Witnesses
2 witnesses (18+)

To obtain a marriage license in Oklahoma, applicants must present a government-issued photo ID, a certified birth certificate, and proof of Social Security number. The state does not impose a residency requirement. Two witnesses, each at least 18 years old, are required to be present at the time of application. No blood test is mandated.

Oklahoma recognizes applicants aged 18 and older as eligible to marry without additional consent. Persons aged 16 or 17 may marry with documented parental consent. Those under 16 may marry only with both parental consent and court authorization, which is granted in limited circumstances such as pregnancy or the existence of a child. The standard application fee applies, though it may be reduced for those who complete a premarital counseling certificate. Applicants should confirm current fee amounts and all requirements with their county clerk's office or the state's official statutes before applying.
